Permissions Your Purchase

When you purchase our words and music, you are not receiving ownership of it, but are receiving permission to use our words and music. JoySoul retains ownership of the original music and all usage is subject to our Music Usage Policy as well as United States copyright laws and international copyright agreements.

You will be able to use our music on your personal devices. You may also perform the music in places such as church or school where your audiences will be allowed to video or audio record the perfomances. You may post these performances on your church or school website, on YouTube, on Facebook or on other social media outlets as long as you or your audience are not receiving payment or advertising money for the recording. Display of Words Our lyrics

When we display the lyrics to our our songs on our website or elsewhere, we are doing so to assist our viewers in evaluation of the lyrics for a number of reasons. A primary focus of our website is to make our information accessible to those viewers who use assistive technology. For instance, if a person has hearing loss we would like them to be able to evaluate our words before they purchase them in some form. Sometimes we will include all or part of our words to explain a concept in one of our stories or devotionals, or we might embroider the lyrics on a T-shirt or Hoodie.

Displaying the lyrics on our website, in advertising, or on a T-shirt just to name a few examples, does not bestow any usage permissions on the viewer or reader. In order to receive any usage permissions for our lyrics the reader will need to purchase permissions from us.

Display of Sound Our music

When we display the music to our songs on our website or elsewhere, we are doing so to assist our viewers in evaluation of the music. Displaying the music in a music player or other music medium makes it possible for those listeners with vision loss to hear our music in order to consider it for purchase. Other examples of sound display include display of all or part of our songs in advertising, radio play, and performances.

The availablity of listening to our music on our website or elsewhere does not transfer any usage permissions from JoySoul Corporation to the hearer. Display does not transfer any rights to the listener to record the music while listening. If the listener's website browser downloads all or part of the song in the process of displaying the sound, this does not transfer any permissions to the listener or the browser itself.
